My home server has recenly started having health issues saying there is a file conflict (I/O error) I read up on this issue and started clearing off another hard drive so I could change out the drive that I thought was causing the problem. At this time I started to have even worse problems so I restarted the server and one of the drives came up as missing I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it came back up so I added my new drive and began to remove the failing drive it has now been running for about 8 hours the progress bar isn't even at 25% yet. It hasn't moved in hours and the spinning circle has been going non-stop. Am I wasting my time here is this not doing anything. When I go into disk managment it says that all of my disks are healthy but the one that I am in the process of removing is still 98% full and my new drive is still at 99% free. I am afraid to restart it but I don't really want to let it keep running it if it isn't doing me any good anyone have any advice on how I should proceeed in this manner and is there anyway that I can see a directory of the data I may lose so I can go about recovering it from other sources
