I posted this over on the StableBit forum as well but thought later that more people here might have experience making the move.
I'm moving from WHS2011 where I used mirrored drives for redundancy. I want to move these drives into a Stablebit drivepool on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. Would it be best to just move the files accross the network into the drivepool and then add more drives as they become available and other drives free up? Should I pull the drives, put them in the new server, and then move the files into the drivepool? Can I pull the drives and put them in the new machine and then add the drives into the pool instead of moving all of the files and then adding the drives? If adding them to the pool, do I need to worry about moving multiple copies of everything? Should I remove the mirror before pulling the drives out of the WHS2011 server to avoid that?
Thanks
