A while back I was using DriveBender. All was well until I did a recommended update. After that I could not get my drives to mount. I opened up a ticket with Division M and after a month, even they could not fix it. They recommended I reinstall the OS and do a fresh install.
I decided instead to dump DriveBender and never use their products again, here's why.
Throughtout the entire ordeal I had to contact them enumerable times to get my license reset before I could do as they instructed. I tried to get them to do this automatically after each corespondence but they just brushed this aside and never did. Thid caused me excessive grief above and beyond the problem with DriveBender that I should not have been made to suffer. Altho tech support was prompt and responsive, they non the less failed to solve my problem. While I didn't hold this against them I was angry over the liicensing issue. I can understand a company wanting to protect their products from thieft, I am willing to indure only so much grief and no more. DriveBender greatly exceeded what I consider reasonable.
Does Stablebit go to the same extremes to prevent piracy or would I be looking at the same hassel should I run into a similar problem?
