I recently tried to open one of my backup files to recover an individual file and though the open dialog runs and the thermometer bar indicates progress to completion nothing happens after the dialog completes and closes. There are no error messages and I do not get a list of folders/files to pick from.
I'm running Windows Home Server on an HP Mediasmart server. Independent of this I have received some messages that there was a problem with the primary drive. Repair seemed to work and I've tried cleaning up the database but get an error that the backup service is not running.
This is an HP Mediasmart Server running WHS versions 6.0.xxx.
Though the disk error report concerns me we've had a couple serious power outages here during one of which my UPS failed (of course).
