Hi I would be grateful if someone could advise me if it is possible to turn an old desktop I have into a "Server"
My Mediasmart is basically dead - it keeps rebooting itself constantly - after a bit of research it seems this is a PSU problem?
I have an old HP Pavilion Slimline desktop which is not being used and I have my WHS 2011 discs - is it feasible to turn install this on to the desktop and turn that into the "server" I know I only have room in the desktop for one HD so I was thinking I could swap that out for one of my 2tb drives out of the mediasmart and use the other 3 2tb as externals?
the desktop has 4gb memory and the processer is Phenom-8750 (T) 2.4 GHz (95W)
I would be really grateful for some advice if this is possible to do or even better where I can get a replacement PSU for the mediasmart (assuming that is the actual problem!)
