I installed Power Pack 3 on my WHS.
I have 3 computers.
1 PC Win 7 ultimate 64
2 laptops - Win 7 ultimate 32.
I allowed the connect software to automatically update and attempted a backup. Backups failed on all three computers though the connector icon was green.
I attempted to repair - failed on each computer.
I attempted to reinstall - failed on each computer.
My last ditch was to uninstall connector software and reinstall...here is what happens.
I go through control panel - select the connector - click uninstall. The dialog comes up - says please wait while we gather information - green bar begins to fill, then the window disappears - no uninstall.
I try to click change from the uninstall menu (add / remove) and click remove - it fails, and then gives a fatal error.
I tried revo uninstaller - it won't even see the connector software.
I tried to boot to safe mode to uninstall.
Windows 7 will not allow the enabling of the windows installer service in safe mode - can't do anything.
Tried disabling the windows home connector service then uninstalling - no dice.
If anyone is out there...please help. I don't want to have to reformat 3 pc's just so they work with my WHS![:(]()
