I want to set up a Minecraft server for my kids and their cousins to play together on. Since my WHS 2011 is on 24/7, and Minecraft server isn't that intensive, I was going to put it on my WHS 2011. I have opened up the port 25565 TCP for the minecraft server. I added minecraft_server.exe as an exception in the firewall, but I still can't connect either on local LAN or internet IP. If i disable the firewall on the WHS I can connect just fine.
I have powered down and restarted both the router and the WHS 2011 still with no success. I set the server up on my laptop (Win 7) and it worked just fine by adding the TCP port in firewall and adding an exception in the firewall. But for whatever reason WHS 2011 doesn't want to allow it to work!
I have TeamSpeak 3 successfully running on the server too. So I can't figure out what the issue is!
So any additional tips/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
