Pc Restore Doesn't Find Local Disk To Restore To

When using the PC Restore Wizard to restore my D: drive (two 1TB Seagate drives in RAID 0 for a 2TB drive), the restore doesn't see the physical drive as a target for restore. It sees the D drive on the WHS that it can restore FROM. But doesn't see the physical (local) drive I want to restore the data TO.

The WHS Restore Wizard Sees
( ) System Recovery
( C ) SSD Boot Drive
( G ) Corsair USB stick with Network drivers

The WHS Restore Wizard Doesn't See
( D ) HDD Storage Drive <-- expected, but not there

I've reformatted the fresh target drive multiple times and multiple ways to make sure it's not above the 2.2TB limit, I clicked Disk Manager in an attempt to reformat/resize it as necessary - but it's not even visible as a drive/volume/partition (anything) in the WHS Disk Manager. The moment I boot into Windows, it's there, it's visibile both as a new drive to use and in Disk Manager to resize/extend/shrink/reformat. But during WHS Restore, the drive isn't available as a drive I can restore to.

I'm very familiar with WHS v1 (HP MediaSmart EX 475 upgraded to HP's v3 WHS software) and have restored by XP and WIn7 PCs without fail for years. Now I'm stumped why this has cropped up and how to solve it. Any help from the experts?
