So I lost one of my two 1Tb storage drives last night - it started making a loud clicking sound and then could not be found by WHS. Unfortunately I did not have everything set to duplicate so I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I've lost.
Assuming there is nothing recoverable off of the drive (a 13-month old Seagate Barracuda 7200.12) do I just need to remove the drive in the console and then go through the process of adding the replacement drive in like normal?
What if I am able to pull data off the drive - is it possible to copy the data to a new drive and reconnect it somehow?
I searched the tutorials and forums briefly (wiki FAQ link is broken btw) but couldn't find anything that seemed relevant. Thanks for helping a newbie.
