Hi all,
When locked up for the night on October 28th, all was fine, both my pc's (running Win 7 and Win 8) were able to connect to the WHS 2011 server. When I woke up the next morning, both were not able to connect, but the files shares were still working fine (I could also use the remote connection to login to the server). The Launchpad and the Dashboard were not able to connect, stating a connection error.
So I started investigating, first suspect my firewall software. Even with the firewall software uninstalled, I could not connect again. Then I uninstalled the connector software, with the aim of reinstalling it. Result: not able to install connector software, stating a connection error.
Then it popped in my mind: could this have to do with the start of winter time? So I set back the clock on the WHS with 1 day, and also on my PC which still had the connector software running. Restarted both and voila, all worked again :-)
But, this is no solution, just a workaround which I am not happy with.
Anyone have a hint or a tip how I can get the connection working again with the date/time up to date to present day/time?
