I tried to remove a legacy Acronis backup package from one of my PCs today, to discover that the PC subsequently wouldn't reboot and the OS was unrepairable courtesy of Acronis' intrusion into the boot-up process. So, I was hugely relieved to discover that WHS2011 does what is says on the tin, and genuinely does restore a PC to its last backed-up state. The affected PC was running Vista Business Edition on a Dell C521 connected to a gigabit home network. To fix it, I booted the PC from the Client Computer Restore CD, and within 1 hour it had restored 220 GB onto the disk and the PC subsequently rebooted without problems. By my reckoning, that is flawless. It is an excellent product.
