Good evening all,
I recently bought a HP Microserver and installed Linux ubuntu, now didn't really get on with this and the hard drives make quite a noise although are quite cheap ones :-)
Because Linux is quite messy sometimes I have put the HP Microserver on ebay with 3 x 1TB SATA drives and I'm going to hopefully spec up a PC running Windows 8 that will do the job and will be quieter.
What I want to do......
Store music, films and photo's
Stream content to TV's around the house.
With regards the spec and hopefully people can advise here...
CPU?
RAM?
Do I use a small say 128gb SSD drive to boot the OS then an external enclosure for the hard drives that can utilise RAID?
Or do I buy a bigger PC to house more hard drives internally
Too many decisions! lol
Cheers
Paul
