What I need / require :
24/7 uptime would be nice.
Torrentclient.
Vlc player.
Firefox.
Remote access to server data and torrent client.
Most of file transfer will be "backing up" from server to client.
Server :
Cheap mini-itx closure with PSU and space for one 3.5" something like LC-1320mi. I think I will mod it to have 120mm intake fan and the SSD on the side panel.
ITX board with integrated CPU with graphics power like E350M1/ Realtek RTL8111E
3TB WD Red comes recommended for 24/7
60/120GB SSD for OS
4/8GB RAM
Head would be 720P plasma via HDMI. KB and mouse might be some logitech with unified receiver.
Client :
W7 Ultimate 64bit
120GB/ 2TB/ 1TB/ 2500k/ 16GB/ Z77 Extreme4/ Broadcom BCM57781
Router :
I am yet waiting information from my ISP. They will send one free of charge.
Client and server will be connected to router via ethernet cables.
Could WHS7 or 11 provide those services with that that hardware or would You recommend some other operating system?
