No Popup Window For Network Drivers Client Restore Whs 2011

Hi all,

I have recently bought new hardware and installed whs 2011. One of the main reasons for switching to whs 2011 is the backup services it provides. I have setup backups for the whs 2011 server and both my pc clients running on Windows 7 Premium 64-bit versions.

Backups are running smoothly at night, thx to Lightsout addon :-)

To be sure I can restore a full backup to a client, I created the usb key, using the dashboard options for creating one. My first home pc starts up nicely with the usb key, and I can load the network drivers with a separate usb key. It finds the whs 2011 server and I can open all my backups. So good so far.

But when I try to connect my 2nd computer using a newly created usb key, I cannot find my home server. Strange thing is that I do not get the popup window to search for network drivers, it just starts the recovery application after confirming keyboard and language. It seems to have found a network driver, but this driver does not work. The network card in my 2nd pc will not connect (the light on my hub stays orange where it should turn to green).

I even tried using the client restore cd with the same results. If I use the cd in my 1st pc, it does give me the popup screen for loading a network driver.

I do not know how to tackle this problem. I have changed settings in my bios, have tried to use the usb key for my 1st pc to run on my 2nd and vice versa, I even altered the boot.wim file, adding drivers to the file repository...nothing seems to work :(

Does anyone have tip or tric I can use to solve this problem?
