I have my server setup including SSLs and Open Directory. I'd like to add network service only accounts to local accounts on clients machines. The use case is that I don't want to create user accounts on the server, but I want file shares and other services available.
How do I actually connect the client accounts to the network service accounts? I have setup a Network Services Only account within Open Directory, and from there, I've tried to add an OS X Server account using the Internet Accounts in System Prefs using the account a created on the server, but that doesn't seem to work. The error message is the identity can't be verified.
I have joined the client machine to the server in the Users and Groups settings, and I get a green light - seems to be working.
Somehow I'm missing a key piece of information or setup. I don't know what else to do.
