Im trying to install WHS2011 and having got stuck at this exact point last night, i've just reinstalled it all over again and im looking at the exact same issue now.
There seems to be plenty of discussion about this with a search on Google, however none of the suggestions seem to get me anywhere.
I believe this particular stage is to do with the OS setting the network configuration, and if i run an ipconfig everything (i think) looks quite normal
Ethernet
IPv6 Address: [bunch of hex mumbo jumbo]
IPv4 Address: Correct local IP i'd expect it to be on
Subnet & gateway: both correct
I have internet access straight away, no tweaking or anything.
Connection Status says:
IPv4: Internet
IPv6: No Internet access
Media State: Enabled
tbh, i havent a clue what IPv6 is, and whether thats what its hung up on, but my Win7 system is exactly the same and that functions fine.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?? I cant do anything with it till i get pass this part of the installation wizard.
I've spent the best part of 8hrs just to get to this stage, i dont have a DVDR to install it, nor a suitably sized USB stick to 'locate' the install files and install it that way (i installed the files to the HDD and ran them straight off that within a W7 O/S to get it moving along).
