I have had the dreaded WHS Connector install problem on one of my Windows 7 Home Premium laptops - works fine on Windows 7 desktop, vista and XP machines. This seemd to happen after one of the Windows updates. Over thepast year I have searched forums and tried many many fixes, to no avail. Connectro finds server, begins install, reports unexpected error then close to remove most changes error. Media center changes, firewall changes, .net 4, etc. I finally havve just resigned myself that this device won't ever connect again.
I am wondering now if an upgrade to Windows 8 would sove the problem. While I am not a big fan of the Windows 8 look, this particular laptop is used primarily for MS Office or for itunes, so the particular OS is of limited impact.
Does anybody know if an upgrade to Windows 8 get me back in business with WHS?
thanks for any help
ps - would upgrade to Win7 pro help?
