Hi All,
I'm looking for some advice.
I have an old Atom-based BBS2 unit that has done me reliable service for the last 3-4 years. It's now out of warranty and has recently started locking up randomly. The symptoms are:
* System becomes unresponsive to all mouse / keyboard input and does not respond to network requests.
* The system outputs video, but the display is frozen (i.e. cursors stop blinking, and activity spinners etc freeze in place).
I'm reluctant to send the unit back to Tranquil for repair as I already paid them > GBP100 ~6 months ago to fix an unrelated issue with the power supply.
What are my troubleshooting options here? Does this seem like a power supply issue? Or an issue caused by bad memory? (which I could replace). Or something else?
Should I just bin the unit and buy another NAS?
Thanks!
Jimmy
