I made this rant in another thread and realised how off topic I had gone
I switched from WHS2011 to server 2012 essentials and it ran like a dream. Since then i have done a reinstall with Server 2012 r2 essentials (full version) and nothing seems to work.
Remote web access is hit and miss.
Six or seven attempts to get the Microsoft domain to assign.
The server randomly appears and disappears from the devices tab.
Then had reason to reinstall my laptop and it refused to then let me install the connector.
This is on each and every reinstall (Three of them)
No working windows phone app.
It just goes to show... If something is working then why change for the sake of it! 
So I decided to go back to the first release....and yes!! Its back to being totally stable and reliable.
Its a shame I wasted two days of my life with R2.
