Hi All,
I am trying to set up my HP Proliant microserver with WS 2012 essentials
I currently have 4 x 1TB hard drives and have a Icy Docky Hard drive caddy coming.
I need a little advice on basic setting up as my goal is to eventually have 2 Raids, one with server folders, the other with backups, and the icy dock with the OS.
is this a good way to have it setup? ie a smaller hard drive just with the OS.
secondly the current way i THINK i have it set up is 1 hard drive with 2 partitions, one with the OS and a seperate partition that i havent set up to do anything as yet.
Then a seperate hard drive with server folders, then the RAID with backups.
The only trouble i'm having is that i can not find anywhere from the dashboard to see if the drive i am using for backups is the RAID, as there is no description.
please take a look at the image. How can i tell if i have set up on the correct drive, or even if i have set up RAID??
Any advice would be much appreciated.
