I have a couple questions concerning installing WHS v1 x32 on a new Zotac ZBOX (http://www.zotacusa.com/zbox-id90-plus.html)
I currently have and enjoy WHS v1 on an HP EX490 MSS... but I'm thinking about setting up another media/home server on the ZBOX ID90-PLUS-U and I was hoping for and answer to a couple questions...
#1 - I was wondering if anyone sees any issues installing WHS v1 x32 on this new and well loaded Zotac nettop
#2 - (Dual Boot set up) -- And I was also wondering if anyone sees any issues with creating two partitions on the 500GB HDD that's in the ZBOX and installing Windows 8 Pro on one partition (With WHS v1 on the other partition) - this way I could also use the ZBOX as a W8 desktop PC occasionally, and also experiment with using W8's storage spaces as a possible choice for using it as my 2nd media/home server choice
I know this is an odd scenario, and I'll most likely end up using the ZBOX (with one partition) as a W8 desktop PC and it's storage spaces as my 2nd home server... but I like WHS v1's simplicity and it's drive extender/storage pool so well, it's hard to consider anyhing else as a replacement - so this is why I'm wondering if anyone sees an issue running an older x32 WHS OS on a newer x64 PC/nettop... just in case I decide to go this route
tia for any help/suggestions!
