Hi there,
I recently moved to WHS2011 from the Linux world. I run my server headless and control it remotely from either within the network, or from outside.
I used to:
SSH on to the server with keys, no passwords were allowed.
Changed SSH ports from standard
VNC on to the machine
From there i used to remotely control the system, download things etc.
This was fine inside the network but made it difficult to share things with family as this was too techy.
So I move to WHS2011 and I love the remote web address function and the fact they can have a read only account.
Can anyone tell me if/how I can secure the WHS2011 install to stop it being hacked. Simple password authentication isnt all that great imho.
Can I SSH tunnel first. Can I VNC on to the machine? What else can i do?
Many thanks
