Hi all,
I Just got a new Server Viridian PC OfficeServ Pro 6HC with Windows Server 2012 essentials installed on a RAID 1 OS drive and no Storage drives. It has a quad core Xeon processor and 16 BG of RAM.
I added 4 X 3TB WD Red Drives that I want to set up as RAID 10.
- I went into setup and changed the SATA inputs from AHCI to RAID
- I left the Type to INTEL (Could have chosen LSI MegaRAID)
- Made sure all the sata ports were enabled ( could see all 4 Drives next to the coordinating Sata Inputs)
- then saved and exited from setup.
- Then when the RAID setup came up, I was able to press "<Control> - I" to get into the RAID setup
- Selected RAID 10
- Selected all 4 Drives
- Created new RAID volume
- Booted in WS2012E.
Unfortunately, WS2012E does not see the RAID array in the dashboard.
- I checked alerts to see if it was telling me I needed to format the volume, but there aren't any alerts - at least not for that
- I went into Computer Management and went to storage, but I can only see the OS drive
- Tried rebooting and checking the same things, but still no RAID array available
Is there another step I need to do to make the RAID array available?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan
