Hello,
I was just wondering if it is possible to set up WHS to backup cleints when they are shutdown rather than when they start up?
When I start a client PC after it has been turned off for a day or more, it will try to run the backup when it starts. So for a half hour to an hour after the PC starts, it's super slow and laggy.
If I'm quick, I can long in and delay or cancel the backup so that the PC is usable at that time. If I'm too slow, and I try to log in after the backup starts, it takes like 10 to 20 minutes before I see the desktop after entering my user password.
I would much rather have it so that when it boots it's peppy and fast, but then when I click Shutdown, have it do the backup at that time. Then I can just walk away after hitting shutdown and it will do the backup and then turn off.
IE: Rather than backup the previous session at next boot, backup the current session at shutdown.
Is it possible to make the backups behave like that?
Thanks
