I use WHS (currently v1 but moving to 2011) to backup all of my PCs. I have had to restore my system drive a few times over the years so this has been very helpful, but it probably takes close to an hour to do the full process, depending on the size of the drive.
Can you use WHS to not only backup your drive but also restore it to an alternate drive automatically on a regular (ie daily) basis? In other words my system/boot drive on a PC client will be running on SSD-1 and I would like to restore SSD-1 to SSD-2 in the background at 4am every day and have SSD-2 ready as a "hot backup" to be the system drive on a moment's notice.
That way restoring your system should take less than 5 mins as you just have to (at worst) change the boot order of your hard drives and you are good to go.
Is there any way of doing this with WHS? Or with other software?
