Can I Add New Data Drive To Pool Through Remote Access When Console Not Working?

I have a 2TB data drive that is beyond fixing, but WHSv1 still starts and runs.

I've backed up all the data, but now I can't get into the Home Server Console to add a new drive and subsequently "remove" the bad one. From remove access I'm being told that HomeServerConsoleTab.Storage.dll is blocking the console from starting, so I'm wondering what alternatives I have to replace the bad drive with a good one in the pool.

Suggestions please, anyone?
