I backed up a 1 TB RAID0 on one of my computers and then tried to restore the drive. However, when the restore completed and the computer rebooted and I got a message from BIOS saying "BOOTMGR is missing." I've restored system disks many times and this is the first time I've seen this. Does anyone have an idea what happened and how to fix it?
I should add that between the backup and retsore, I reformated the hard drive, did not break the RAID (verified), and moved around some drive letters in order to install a SSD as the boot drive. After discovering restore would not retore to a smaller drive, I wiped both the RAID and SSD clean, removed all drive letters, and then tried to restore the RAID to its original condition so I could shrink it's partition to the SSD size. That is when the problem started. The restore operation seemed to do its job with no error messages and had a clean completion, but the system will not reboot.
Thanks All!
