I have a WHS V1 installation, and I use Cloudberry backup to back it up to the Amazon S3 cloud.
I noticed that I have not been receiving the daily notifications to advise me that the backups had completed successfully for a few days, so I checked the server.
The server is plugged directly into the modem / router and the server is accessible both within the network from another PC via windows explorer, via the Windows console, via Remote Desktop and externally by remote access via the internet.
The server is reporting that it is unable to verify port forwarding and that remote access cannot be verified (even though it works).
Going into the settings / general tab and clicking on 'Update Windows' brings up an error saying that the task cannot be completed and to try again later or try restarting the server.
Going into Cloudberry Backup it reports that the backup has failed multiple times and it is retrying the backup. Watching the retry, it fails once it starts trying to upload data to the cloud.
Going into the settings / Cloudberry and clicking on 'Check for Updates' gives an error and reports 'www.cloudberrylab.com' could not be resolved.
It's as though, even though the server is accessible over the network and remotely, the server itself cannot 'see' the internet. Any other PC's attached to the network have not problem with internet access, through the same modem / router the server is attached to.
Nothing has changed on the network recently, so I can't think why there should suddenly be a problem.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
