My setup is as follows: Record TV to local harddrive. Automatically archive to my WHS 2011 box.
The past couple weeks it seems that the majority of time I wake up my HTPC from sleep to watch something all the recorded TV that is archived onto my WHS is missing from the recorded tv view.
I've confirmed that my media library still contains the proper shared folder (\\whs2011\recorded tv) and the recordings are still there.
If I reboot my HTPC or remove and re-add the share to my library the recordings reappear.
The WHS never sleeps. All my media is on a RAID5 array.
Last time it happened I tried accessing \\whs2011\recorded tv via windows Explorer on the HTPC. It didn't show any files - just an empty folder. At the same time, my laptop via wifi had no issue seeing that folder and contents, however. The HTPC had no problems seeing the contents of \\whs2011\Music, etc. This is just strange as all my media is on the same RAID array - plus, why could one computer see it and the other not...
Any ideas? This is extremely frustrating. I don't know what could have changed because it's been working flawlessly for years. I've removed and re-added the WHS Connector software to no avail. I swapped out the network card on the HTPC and that didn't do anything either.
