Finally have my home network set up. WHS2011 is my main media server, with 2 HTPCs running Win7, 1 desktop running Win7pro, and internet enabled Samsung TV and Onkyo receiver.
Each device has access to the shared library on the WHS2011 with no problems playing any of the content.
However, when I'm using one of the PCs and want to "send" a file from the WHS2011 to the TV or receiver using the "Play To" function, it does not work. Seems that I can only use "Play To" from files stored locally.
Not a huge pain, but this seems to defeat the purpose of having everything stored in a central server.
Is this a bug, a basic setting that I somehow missed, or just how it works?
Streaming to android phone and tablet using Serviio and Plex Media Server. Haven't decided which I need/want for devices yet. But really want to get to the bottom of this "Play To" issue first.
