Short story long. I have a Mac (Hackintosh) with Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and a house full of Windows 7 PCs and a WHS 2011. Originally I read about the Launchpad.exe conflict and about renaming the Mac Launchpad. I originally did it, but saw no usability whatsoever with the WHS Launchpad, so uninstalled it and renamed the Mac Launchpad back.
Today, WHS updates installed and I get an Alert that I need to uninstall the Mac connector. I don't have the Mac Connector installed, but I do have a program called Launchpad, the Mac Launchpad. So I can't uninstall the WHS Connector. I guess I should ignore the alert, and remove the alert. But, is it going to keep trying to install itself and keep reactivating the alert? Or is the WHS connector now fixed for Mac to be some other name so as not to conflict with the Mac Launchpad? If the WHS Mac Connector wants to install, is it something useful now, or forget it and ignore the alert?
I did notice new Connector software installed on all the PC's.
