Files Just Vanished From Pictures Folder

Sorry if this has been covered but I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere.

I set up my server and everything was working fine so I started moving over my files.

Everything was going smoothly over the last few days then today I went to go look at some pictures and the photos folder was empty.

I didn't get any error messages and no drives have failed so I don't know why everything is done.

I remoted in and searched around and can't find any trace.

Please help
