Once I noticed that I was getting pending bad sectors on a Samsung 1.5 TB HDD I added a new 2 TB Western Digital to my server pool. This gave me enough space to move files for the removal process. (Yes, I do use file duplication for everything on the WHS). Upon attempting to remove the faulty drive from the pool via the Disc Management add-in (I use this vs. the Server Storage tab because I am not guessing if I selected the proper drive to remove this way) I get the following error:
Conflict: Data error (cyclic redundancy check); Name: GlobalCluster.4096.dat; Location: D:\folders\-{00008086-058D-4C89-AB57-A7F909A47AB4}
How do I correct this so I am able to remove the faulty HDD? Thanks.
