I currently have installed WHS 2011 on an Asus U50F and I am not really pleased with the install my temperatures are running up around 60's and that is without really doing anything just have had it running for two days straight to test it out I have it on a logitech cooling pad and the PC feels cool to the touch so it can't be that bad (I hope) I want to get a desktop to run the server wasn't sure if an I3 processor would be strong enough for remote video streaming or not. I saw an Asus desktop with AMD A-4 series processor that was affordable and another with a A-8 series for 50 dollars more. I really don't know much about AMD processors. I just got my first computer ever that doesn't use an intel chip about a week ago so haven't got to test it to much. Is A-4 with 4Gb of ram enough power and if not what about the A-8 with 8GB of Ram. I don't want to make my server to weak but at the same time don't want to spend a fortune on it either. Anyone have any suggestions
