Help please?
Following wise advice elsewhere on here, I've abandoned plans to go down the RAID route, and have installed StableBit DrivePool to add an extra layer of security to my data storage and back up.
But ... I've immediately hit an issue.
When I click on the DrivePool tab in WHS Dashboard, it only shows me the operating system's C: drive, and the D: drive that is the rest of the partitioned drive that came with the HP Proliant server. The two 2Gb drives I installed myself, which are visible in the hard drives tab, aren't listed under the DrivePool tab. So I can't add them to my "pool".
Forgive me, I'm something of a novice. It is also a month since I set the server up, and at the time I was planning to go down a RAID route. I wonder if I made some kind of choice about the way I set those two drives up at the time, which I've now forgotten, that may be relevant. ... Either way, any advice hugely appreciated.
There really don't seem to be a lot of settings or other options in DrivePool for me to prod and poke at to try and figure this out myself. Am I missing a more detailed user interface somewhere other than in Dashboard??
Thanks in advance.
Robert
