The server is an HPServerLX running WHS 2003 with 3 external drives.
One of the hard drives shows as missing (was having problems with this and it finally gave up the ghost). Followed the procedure and added a new drive, then went to remove the missing drive. This failed with a 'cannot remove due to file conflicts' message.
Searched on this forum and found a solution, which was to get into the server via a remote desktop connnection, go to disk management and remove the drive (or from command line use diskpart).
Okay, here's the problem. Disk Management & Diskpart show 3 healthy drives, but no missing drive to remove. The Console, however, still shows the 3 healthy drives, plus the original missing drive.
How can I remove this missing drive?
