Scaleo Home Server - Not Able To Make Recovery (17 Terabyte Of Data At Risk)

Hi,

Purchased a Scaleo Home Server in 2008 (1500 model I believe), it's been upgraded with a new processor, additional RAM and hard drives (11 Samsung 1,5TB Ecodrives, 4x2 of them in external Stardom cases). The machine has been switched on for 5 years and it's been running like a dream - until now.

To make a long story short, I was infected by Smart Fortress 2012 virus/malware and decided to purchase Avast! for WHS (already had a trial version installed but never managed to uninstall it properly as described in other forum posts). I didn't manage to install the software via the WHS Connector Console so I decided to give it a try via remote desktop. No problem entering the key that way, a scan was initiated and I was soon prompted to do a boot scan... BIG mistake on a headless system.

I've left the system on for a week assuming that a full scan of 17TB of data would take some time, today I gave up and decided to make a recovery since I'm no longer able to access the server. Everything seems to be running fine but Windows never boots, I'm stuck in boot-up mode where the system probably is waiting for my input (which I obviously can't see).

I have the latest recovery CDs from Fujitsu and I've put the server in recovery mode (orange light is on) but the recovery software says "no SCALEO Home Server found". I'm running Windows 7 and I have disbaled the firewall, I've changed the network name to HOME as this seems to be the default name the server uses. I'm tired and out of more ideas.

1. Any ideas on how to boot the system back to Windows?
2. Would a USB Graphic Card show picture out of the box without any driver installed?
3. Why can't I see the server via the recovery software?

It's going to be a long night, I realise I'm a forum leecher sucking up data only posting when problems occur. But I love my data, don't want to lose it. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
