Raid Question....

Hi,
I've just built an HP N40L with WHS 2011 on a 64GB SSD located in the ODD. (on board Raid controller all set up and good to go).

I plan to install 2 500GB WD HDD's and run them using Raid 1 (this is where the data will reside.)

My question is do I have to declare the 64GB SSD which will only have the O/S on, as part of the raid? Ideally I just want the 2 data drives set up as RAID 1.

Sorry, new to the RAID scene as my previous server runs WHS V1 using the drive extender and duplication.
