Help I have a major PC crash and I have not been able to restore from WHS even though I have been religiously backing up using the WHS. Original PC had a D for recovery, and a C for the active operation of Vista Home premium As much as I know its going to be tough to have to update the hundreds of patches since 2008 I need it back to the original state to make by BD works again because Sony is so unwilling to post new driver for my BD/DVD drive!
I need information on how to use disk manager within the WHS PC restore process to put the correct partitions back for proper restoration .
I like to setup the "new" drive with the same hidden partition D for recovery and the active C partition.
No matter how I tried I could not setup the drive to have the hidden partition D and the active drive C with the Vista OS back into the single hard drive. Do I first format the entire drive before splitting it into two partitions? If so how? What is a simple disk? Do I create two simple disks first before any partition?
