Can anyone advice me on which backup software is the best for me.
I have a client with a server set up and 5 workstations
Using Server 2011E and Win7 Pro on workstations
My intentions are to have the server :
- Mirror the SSD to a HDD in case of failure, so I can swap drives, or have an image ready to restore to a different drive. Server needs to be up and running within an hour.
- Daily backups of changes (using windows backup now)
- VMware option and/or bare metal restore.
Workstations
- Weekly image of the drive, in case a hd fails I can swap the drive and restore within an hour.
- restorepoints like goback is a plus.
I have looked into backup exec, acronis, ghost and shadowprotect. But I have no intention to pay for software in which I will never use 90% of the functions.
Any advice ?
