I have data (mostly photos & Videos (.iso files) that formerly lived on my deceased HP 470.
My plan is to transfer files from the old (about 12) drives that were in he HP Mediasmart storage pool to my new WHS 2011 machine. Using a SATA-USB commector, I get about 32 mb/s transfer/copy speed which means about 20-30 mins per hi-def video/movie file. At this rate it'll be about a month before I get all this stuff transferred.
Is there any faster method? Install old drive directly to motherboard? Invoke a magic spell? Add-in?
I plan to re-use these HDD's in my new machine after data transfer, BTW.
