Recommendations For New Windows Home Server Hardware

Hey there,

I'm running Server 2012 Essentials on an old acer easystore h340. It works OK, but the box is really starting to show its age. While I've considered updating the processor and Ram, it is probably more cost and labor effective at this point to buy a new server. I use the server as a file store for music/movies/photographs etc, automatically backing up my music and photos to the cloud. I also stream videos and music to various devices throughout my home. I'm tied to the MSFT ecosystem (I use picbackman, google music uploader, etc.) and am looking for a new box to install 2012 Essentials or 2012 Essentials R2 on. The boxes I'm seeing on the market fall into 3 categories:

1. Non windows (drobo, etc.) which are useless to me
2. Severely underpowered. 1-2GB of RAM!?!
3. Business class (i.e. expensive)

Does anyone have any recommendations for new home server hardware? I'm looking for something ideally below $600.
