Hi Guys,
Hopefully those with much more experience can illuminate if the following is possible.
My WHS2011 set up has 4 internal HDD ... all are 2TB each but the total space usage currently is around the 3TB level.
I have 2 x 2TB external HDD that I use for complete server backups. I only have one connected at any one point in time as I like to rotate them and keep one off site for security purposes.
Right now my backups are failing as they have run out of space.
Can I...
1. Buy an additional 2 x 2TB External HDD and have two connected at any one point in time (giving a total of 4tb of space) and rotate the other two as above?
2. Shuffle my internal HDD folders so that they exist on only 2 internall HDD, and then install 4 x 2TB external HDD and back up C: to two external HDD (rotating one of the external HDD for offsite storage), D: to the other two External HDD with rotation?
3. Or is there another solution I haven't thought about?
Basically, I need a full server copy held externally.... thats shared data, PC backups, the lot.
Your assistance is very much appreciated.
