I've had an Acer AH340 going for nearly 5 years (!!) and lately it has just suddenly stopped working and I can't figure it out.
In recent weeks a couple of times it told me that one of the drives was failing, but the self repair has already worked. It is not the system drive.
I was copying a large (8gb) file over to it and the connection kept crapping out. A couple of minutes in it would tell me that the server couldn't be reached. I hit Cancel and of course I can still browse the file share, and I can still try to copy the file over but it fails.
So I tried to connect via the console and at first it said nothing was wrong, but a day later and I cannot connect to it at all. Remote desktop connects immediately and shows me a totally black screen.
The server still responds to pings and the file share appears usable, but large transactions fail after a couple of minutes.
Any ideas as to what I can do next? Thanks so much for your help.
