Running on Scale0 Fujitsu SS-4200e with 160gb 3.5in boot drive and 4 1tb drives in Raid 5.
I had a power outage today and when I checked all my systems, I found out my WHS2011 server was not responding on the network. Waited awhile and nothing. So I plugged my riser and vid card in and found one of the four HDD drivers had crapped out, no problem, popped another in and rebooted to do the rebuild. After bios, black screen and that was it. Looking in the bios and all, everything seemed good, even the boot drive (160gb 3.5in). So I left it there to see what would happen.
After about 15 minutes, I get the System Recovery Options screen. I figure, okay, fine. Yet I can not see my backups!! THey were backed up to an eSATA drive. I plugged that into my Win8 machine and it is seen, but of course has no drive letter. I've tried USB and eSATA, but I cannot get the recovery system to see the backup drive!
Any help?
