Xeon X3370: How Much Improvement Over Curerent E3110?

So, I know I am talking about old hardware, but after upgrading most of the home's various PC's and devices, I simply do not have the money to switch to a modern platworm for my server running WHS2011.  Even though I need to.

The most taxing things that this server does is rip movies using MyMovies (which utilizes handbrake), and also doing MP4 conversions as well (so my mobile devices can access them).  It carries on like a tired dog doing this.  It gets the job done, but it's slow.  I believe this process may be multi-threaded, so on an e3110 with skt 775 and 2 cores, it's definately at a disadvantage.

The next most taxing is streaming to my HTPC and whatnot, which it handles just fine.  all other tasks such as file storage and transfers and backups are no problem.

I do have money to pick up an x3370 (q9650 equivalent) which is also 3Ghz, but 4 cores for $129.  The question is, would I be better off and see improvement on MyMovies tasks with the x3370, or go for the incrementally faster e3120 (3.16Ghz) for $29.95?  Will my tasks be more improved by slightly faster, or the additional 2 cores?

Yes, my old-as-dirt Asus P5Bv-C/4L motherboard is on the latest BIOS, and will take either one.

P.S.  Unrelated, but I'm also going to put an M4 SSD in it as C drive as well to speed up the OS responsiveness.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give me in regards to the tasks it is used for.
