I have a couple of technical questions re: Active WebCam, which many members of this forum have recommended. It does indeed look like an excellent software application. By the way, one of the older posts included a link that is no longer valid. The current link to PY Software's Active WebCam software page is http://www.pysoft.co...CamMainpage.htm.
My first question is whether this software will work with our Loftek CXS-2200 IP-based cameras. I suspect so. I've found that most software that works with Fostek IP-based cameras (which look identical -- same manufacturer?) will work with Loftek.
My second question is whether it will support audio. Active WebCam claims to support and be able to broadcast audio. I wonder whether this is true re: IP-based cameras, which surely seem to be more limited. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me because you can hear audio if you use Internet Explorer within your LAN, but not if you use other browsers. I'm especially curious about this being set up under Windows Home Server (have an HP EX495).
