"adding A Folder" Hangs At 60%

I had to recreate some folders that somehow lost permissions so when the dashboard said the folder was missing I attempted to "recreate" the folder and followed the window prompts. The pop screen to share and add permissions moved from 20% to 40% to 60% and then just stopped.

Now if I look at the dashboard behind the window it looks like the folder is there with the right path and double clicking it opens the windows folder. So so I just let it run for a few more hours at 60% or kill the process?
