Been using Win 8.0 on the HP Microserver for a while and have had no problems. Since the 8.1 "update was announced and is intended to be the baseline for all future upgrades, I thought I'd proceed.
Have not been able to complete the upgrade. Error 0xC1900101-0X30018 every time after it halts during the "device " portion (but at different points in the process).
Have done ALL the suggestions from MS regarding that error code, to no avail.
Anyone have a solution or suggestions - other than to stay at 8.0 (which is looking very likely).
BTW, I liked WHS 2011, but is a dead product. Win 8 works OK, but need to use additional BU software, and MS 2012 Essentials is far to pricey for my needs.
