My hard drive died on my client computer, I'm trying to restore the data on a new drive but I keep getting an error "An unKnown network error has occurred during PC restore.. Please verify that your network connection is active and that your windows server is powered on" the back up runs for anything like 12 to 20 hours before it finishes with an error
On the home server side I'm running Windows home server service pack 2 hardware is a HP MediaSmart Server, I've checked the Windows home server colsole has no errors on the back ups and I even connected it to a small D-lInk 5 port network hub and still get the error message.. Is there a manual way that I can pull files off ? I see all the back ups are in DAT file format ?
